We’ve been San Diego Style Weddings advertisers since 2007. This has by far been the best choice we’ve made in putting our names out there and growing our business. This year is even more special because we submitted our pictures for the editorial material and Paul was interviewed for one of the photography articles. Needless to say, we were crazy with curiosity to see this new issue. It was definitely one of the highlights this year to see our images sprinkled all over the magazine and to see some of the couples we worked with in the newest newlyweds section. Thank you SDSW! We are looking forward to next year! You can view and/or order the new issue online at www.sandiegostyleweddings.com . Check us out on the Photography section…

Once again I found myself in NYC. Even though I spent an entire day with the flu in my hotel bed, I was still able to make it to the street for some of my favorite kind of photography. This stuff reminds me of my early work that set so much of my foundation in wedding photography. I would always try to tailor an image to suit each subject. Weddings seem to call for this kind of thinking when it comes to photography. I love all the wedding subjects that have shown me new ways of making images. I can see in my new images of old subjects, my new ways of thinking.

I just had to put this one up here because I am loving it big time! It has taken us almost 3 years to find the right shot for our featured tile on mysandiegowedding.com. We did this day after session with Melissa and Robert a little over a month ago and we were blown away by the images that came as a result. So worth the one hour drive up to Descanso, the makeshift bouquet that I put together at the last minute and the 45 minute steaming job that Paul himself did on the dress (YES, WE GO THERE FOR PICTURES!). Our first interaction with Melissa was for our first ever boudoir session. That day, she mentioned absolutely hating her wedding pictures (WE DID NOT SHOOT THEIR WEDDING, we were not even in business when these two got married) and we started talking about getting them at least some bride and groom shots that were worth putting on their walls. If you want to see more of this session go to the featured session on our site….

We shot this wedding at the Dana on Mission bay. Lalita and Dave had some of the most gorgeous flowers we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. I could not believe how well these different bursts of color harmonized. I really fell in love with the mix of Indian decor and accessories intertwined with the traditional western look… such a reflection of who they are as a couple. I guess they reminded me of us, haha.
