Ali & Hunter E-session

There is something that has been happening lately with all our couples that we just love… As wedding photographers we always strive to work closely with our clients, to give them the pictures they’ve always dreamed of.  As artists, we are always trying to do something new and creative every opportunity we get to shoot.  Because the setting is like a 3rd character in our images, we always tell couples to choose a place that means something to them, whether its the place where they met, kissed for the first time, got engaged or they just love it for any reason.

When Ali and Hunter decided to have the session at their new home, the place where they will be living together for the first time as man and wife, we were beside ourselves with excitement!  I just found it so charming and romantic (I’m such a sap, I know!) Plus we had so much fun with these two.  They were so welcoming and so accommodating in every-way they could in order to make these images happen.  It felt really special, like the pictures are as much their creation as they are ours.  I hope this trend with newly engaged couples continues…we love it!!!!

Meet the Doodle!

I believe this is the first time that we’ve posted about our baby girl.  We thought those browsing our blog should officially meet her, if you haven’t met her already at our place.  We call her the Doodle, and sometimes the Noodle; we are not sure why or how this came about, it just happened one day and they all stuck.  Her real name is Isabella Marie.  At this moment she is, amongst other things, crawling around like a pro and chasing our kitty.  We have come to the conclusion that her first steps will in fact come from her trying to get the kitty!  Needless to say we are keeping our eyes peeled.  Whenever we are not enjoying watching her grow, we are either chasing her around or trying to keep the cat from getting back at her for all those time she yanked his tail. Good times! (No animals were hurt during the posting of this message…)

Irma & David Engagement @ Balboa Park

Though we always have fun on an engagement shoot, our jokes don’t always kill.  I mean, we’re photographers not comedians, but we sure felt that way with these two.  We had so much fun, it was really more like spending time with friends than work.  Thank you both!

Robin & Scott & Kat E-session

I loved Robyn’s take on the situation.  She included her daughter Kat in the e-session, and they all said vows to each other in the ceremony (coming up soon!).  I thought this was so cool!  Very representative of what happens when folks that already have kids marry each other. It is a merging of more than two lives…
