One of the main reasons why I got into photography, besides expressing myself creatively, was because I felt this very strong pull towards making women feel beautiful in a world where they are constantly bombarded with distorted definitions of beauty. Don’t get me wrong, I love and admire the work of fashion photographers, but I also happen to know that looking that gorgeous in a picture is a lot more attainable than most women think .
The concept of boudoir has been popping in and out of our consciousness for a couple of years now. We knew that this was something that we wanted to do for our brides, but instead decided to concentrate on making them look beautiful in their wedding dresses (amongst other things). Now, after surveying the results of our first shoot, I realize one of the reasons we waited was because we needed to find our own voice and point of view.
This is going to be a different kind of blog post. We’ve decided to document a little bit of our process. To invite you to come along on this mini adventure with us and take a little peek behind the scenes. Just a little heads up, our absolute favorite images from these shoots will be posted on our boudoir gallery in the main site. The ones here are just a little tease (no pun intended)…
